Purpose of the Program: to help boys and girls of Western Pennsylvania develop into responsible young adults through positive, developmental training, including educational programming, athletic competition, social and cultural activities and exchanges, and additional support services.  We are committed to making a difference in the lives of the youth we serve and to enhance and enrich the quality of their lives.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
 

Program Goals: Ozanam Basketball Program will focus on building personal confidence built upon achievement, self-worth, dignity, hope and purpose by teaching respect, discipline and responsibility to every participant.  We will work to keep participates focused on making responsible decisions by providing a nurturing environment with positive role models for all participants. For the academic component, Ozanam will partner with academic support programs in order to improve the academic standing of every participant who needs the support.

Ozanam will place an emphasis on academics by instilling within the participants the importance of balancing academics and athletics.  Ozanam is committed to enhancing the total person.

As part of the academic component, Ozanam will partner with community based and city-wide academic support programs, to improve the academic standing of every participant who needs the support. 

In addition, local Universities will be called upon to assist with academic support services to Ozanam as another vehicle to increase the participants academic skills and abilities
